The first is for the Bulls to sign-and-trade Gordon, which is a definite possibility. GM John Paxson has recently had disscussion with multiple teams. The Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns and New Orleans Hornets are the most recent teams trying to work out a sign-and trade for Gordon. The second option for Gordon is to sign the qualifying offer sheet, play out one more year and become an un-resricted free agent. 07.29.08Deng to sign extensionAfter weeks of contract talks, Luol Deng finally got his big extension. The Chicago Bulls and Luol Deng have verbally agreed to a 6 year, 70 million dollar deal. The new deal will most likely be announced tomorrow. With Deng recieiving the extension and Ron Artest being shipped to the Rockets, this could pave the way for the Miller-Nocioni trade. Artest being traded opens up the small forward postion for the Kings, and the signing of Deng assures the Bulls they have a starting small forward for years to come.
